Belvidere Lions to sponsor new Leo Club
BELVIDERE–Are you looking to have fun and help your community? The Belvidere Lions Club is sponsoring a new Leo club for young people, ages 12 to 18.
Leo clubs prepare young people for a lifetime of leadership and provide the young people of our community with an opportunity for development and contribution
Leo members acquire skills as project organizers and motivators of their peers. They discover how teamwork and cooperation can bring about change in their community and the world and they develop positive character traits and receive recognition for their contributions
Being a Leo is fun, valuable and rewarding. Youth who join Leo clubs have fun, make new friends and experience the rewards of serving others. This gives young people a strong foundation as they learn the meaning of leadership and service.
There will be an informational meeting for students and parents at the Boone County Historical Museum on Jan. 16 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Young people, ages 12 to18 who would like more information about the Belvidere Leo Club can contact Lion Lonna at (815) 985-4354 or email us at [email protected].
