The NIC-10 has released a fall sport conference report for football, girls’ swimming, and girls’ volleyball.

From this report, several students from Belvidere and Belvidere North had successful seasons, which the NIC-10 Conference recognized.

For instance, Belvidere and Belvidere North students did well in the fall football season.

Overall, Belvidere High School had the better of the players with Belvidere senior offensive player, Austin Revolinski being named the NIC-10 Offensive MVP of the Year.

Others recognized from Belvidere High School on the All Conference Offense list include junior Phil Kolk, senior Will Morris, and of course, senior Austin Revolinski.

From Belvidere North, senior Josh Shableau and sophomore Tanner Mateus also made the All Conference Offense list.

The NIC-10, also had some special mentions for players including senior Jonathon Bachs of Belvidere North and senior Jackson Palzer of Belvidere High School.

These players came out of seasons that weren’t too bad for Belvidere football history.

BHS and BNHS varsity teams both finished in fifth place with 4-5 seasons. The sophomore Belvidere North team did a bit better finishing in fourth place, but Belvidere High School fell into seventh place for the sophomore season.

For the freshman teams, Belvidere North finished in fifth place with a 4-5 season, and Belvidere High School finished in ninth place with a 2-7 season.

Moving onto girls’ swimming, the Belvidere co-op team did extremely well this season with varsity finishing in second place, the freshmen/sophomore team finishing in third place, and the freshman team finishing in second place.

Several members of the team made the First All Conference team.

Freshman Mikayla Gavina made the all conference team in the 200 medley.

Junior Hannah Cunningham earned her place in the 100 freestyle.

Senior Hailee Cox made the 500 freestyle.

Freshman Sydney Wight made all conference in the 400 free relay.

Senior Jorday Andrews mad the all conference 100 backstroke.

Lastly, junior Madelynn Marunde made the 100 breaststroke.

Plus, senior Arielle Gavina had a special mention from the NIC-10.

For girls’ volleyball, Belvidere North did extremely well with the varsity team finishing in first place in the NIC-10 conference with a 13-3 season, with the junior varsity team finishing in third with a 13-3 season, and the freshman team finishing in third as well with a 12-4 season.

Two Belvidere North seniors made the NIC-10 First All Conference Team. Bailey Neiber, who played middle/right side, and Elise Rand, who played outside, both made the team.

Plus, sophomore Peyton Sewell received a special mention from the NIC-10.

Belvidere High School fell off the radar for girls’ volleyball this year with the varsity team finishing in 10th with a 1-15 season, the junior varsity team finishing in 8th with a 3-13 season, and the freshman team finishing in fifth with an 8-8 season.
