Belvidere/Boone County Metro Narcotics Unit arrests Rockford man
On Tuesday, Nov. 8, a two month investigation by the Belvidere/Boone County Metro Narcotics Unit and the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Task Force, resulted in the arrest of a Rockford resident on felony drug charges.
Lawndale B. Pelts, 28, of Rockford, was charged with two counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance – (heroin) within 1,000 feet of a church– (class one felony).
On Tuesday, Nov. 8, the Belvidere/Boone County Metro Narcotics Unit arrested Pelts on two counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (heroin) within 1,000 feet of a church. Pelts remains in the custody of the Boone County Jail on $250,000 bond.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible. Each class one felony is punishable by four to 15 years in the Department of Corrections.
