Belvidere/Boone County Metro Narcotics Unit arrests Winnebago man
On Wednesday, Jan. 25, an investigation by the Belvidere/Boone County Metro Narcotics Unit and the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Task Force resulted in the arrest of a Winnebago resident on felony drug charges.
On Wednesday, Jan. 25, the Belvidere/Boone County Metro Narcotics Unit arrested Derek A. Crocker, 33, of Winnebago, on one count of unlawful delivery of a look-a-like controlled substance – (heroin) within 1,000 feet of a senior citizen complex – (class two felony).
Crocker remains in the custody of the Boone County Jail on $20,000 bond.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible. Each class two felony is punishable by three to seven years in the Department of Corrections.
