Belvidere/Boone County Metro Narcotics Unit makes arrest on two month investigation
BOONE COUNTY – On Wednesday, March 2, a two month investigation by the Belvidere/Boone County Metro Narcotics Unit, resulted in the arrest of a Belvidere Resident on felony drug charges.
Kara A. Turek, 21, of Belvidere, was charged with two counts of Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Suboxone) – (Class Three Felony).
On Wednesday, March 2, the Belvidere/Boone County Metro Narcotics Unit arrested Turek on two counts of Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Suboxone). The investigation resulted in the seizure of controlled substances (Suboxone and Heroin).
Turek remains in the custody of the Boone County Jail on $100,000 bond.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible. Each Class Three Felony is punishable by two to five years in the Department of Corrections.
