BHS Key Club Blood Drive a success
The Byron High School (BHS) Key Club Blood Drive, hosted on Wednesday, Feb. 21, at Mary Morgan Elementary School, was a major success! Rock River Valley Blood Center (RRVBC) has said for months that donations are way down this winter due to people sick with the flu.
The Byron/Stillman Valley Community exceeded expectations! It was wonderful to see 31 new donors, 109 individuals registered (two being double reds), 17 were unable to donate (high blood pressure, low iron, etc.), with a total collection of 94 units. At three people saved per unit/pint…our community helped save 282 Lives!
