Business Continuity Planning Conference
The McHenry County Department of Health (MCDH) is offering a free, registration-only, business continuity planning conference to help area employers get ready for public health emergencies. This seminar, offering local businesses education on preparing, protecting employees and customers and resuming operations with the least amount of down time, is scheduled for Tues., March 1.
The news is full of stories about Zika, Ebola, influenza and other infectious diseases. These illnesses impact the bottom line. How long can your business continue without a sufficient number of employees? How about without enough customers purchasing your products or services? No matter the nature of your business – how big or small it is, or how it interacts with the public, knowing the impacts of a public health emergency is important.
“We want to give all McHenry County employers an opportunity for gaining the awareness and information needed to help keep employees healthy and doors open during a public health emergency.” Said Vanessa Cotton, Assistant Director of Nursing and Emergency Response for MCDH.
This no-charge business continuity planning conference is open to all McHenry County businesses and will be held at The Pointe 5650 Northwest Highway (between Sam’s Club and Target) in Crystal Lake from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. on March 1. Dan Reilly, Resilience International Inc., will speak. A light lunch will be served. To register, contact Dan Reilly at 815-915- 4063.
