Byron High School honors ACT high achievers
Twenty-two seniors were honored last Friday evening at Byron High School before the start of the home football game. The students were being recognized for their incredible performance on the ACT they took last spring. The student’s scores were high enough to be considered in the top 15% of the 2.1 million tests taken by juniors and seniors across our nation.
Our teachers and staff should also be congratulated on this accomplishment. This year’s senior class score composite 21.8, which is the third highest score in school history. This assessment, which measures Career and College Readiness, is an indicator of the quality of teacher performance in the Byron Community Unit School District. Much time and effort has gone into aligning curriculum and preparing students to be successful in and out of the classroom. We are highlighting some of the impressive students we have here in Byron.
Congratulations to Nolan Baker, Rhea Bridgeland, Tyler Christianson, Taylor Conley, Brandon Elsbury, Zechariah Fulrath, Wyatt Galster, Emma Hildreth, Sarah Hopkins, Lucas Jurasek, Nicholas Kane, Peyton Keller, Lisa Labay, Isabel Lewis, Taylor Lindquist, Adam Lynde, Kirk Martin, Marissa Myers, Maddisen Nelson, Brenden Phelps, Tracie Raine, Lane Watson. We are certainly proud of your accomplishments.
