A bicyclist rides the trail just west of the Winnebago County Fairgrounds in Pecatonica. The C&NW bridge over the Pecatonica River about 1-1/2 miles west of Ridott. The trail crosses many different types of landscape and, for much of the way, is also part of the 575 mile bike trail Grand Illinois Trail, which is itself a part of the 3,700 mile coast-to-coast Great American Rail Trail.
