Cherry Valley Library offers indoor golfing

“Today is our 6th Annual Mini Golf and Silent Auction,” said Cherry Valley Public Library Director Jane Lenser on Saturday, Feb. 24. “We have nine holes of mini golf set up throughout the library. All the holes are sponsored by local businesses and organizations.
“We’ve had such a great response from the community for donations. We started calling right after Christmas. We have over 100 silent auction items. Our silent auction has a variety of baskets with contents ranging from expensive to inexpensive. We literally have something for everyone.
“We are also doing Salamones pizza by-the-slice today. They are donating the pizza for us. This is the first year we have had snacks and pizza for this event.
“We are raising money for eventual expansion. We want to add a drive-up book return where the books will come right into the building and a youth services program room. We do so many programs for kids and we use the big room right now, which means that it is not available for other groups. Once we have added a space designed for youth, we will have the room we need.
