Cherry Valley Public Library to host Scarecrow Festival
CHERRY VALLEY – “Crow about Cherry Valley”, the Cherry Valley Public Library’s Scarecrow Festival fundraiser is well underway for the third year.
Nearly 50 scarecrows have been “adopted” by families, organizations, and businesses. They have been creatively decorated and most have already been put on display on lamp posts throughout the village on Mill Road and State Street.
Come take a tour and vote for your favorites. Multiple votes are allowed and encouraged! A suggested donation of $1 will tally a vote for your favorite. Ballots are available at the Cherry Valley Public Library, Backyard Grill and Bar, CV Shell Station, Lucky Dog Gaming, Salamone’s Restaurant, CV Fire Protection District Office, and CV Village Hall.
If you can’t make it to Cherry Valley, you can also view photos of the scarecrows and vote online at the library’s website at: www.cherryvalley.lib.il.us.
Voting continues until noon on Oct. 31, and the winners will be announced that afternoon at the village’s Halloween Parade.
