Dusty Boots MUGSHOT

LOVES PARK – On Tuesday, May 31, just after 6:30 p.m., Loves Park officers responded to Advanced Medical Rehabilitation (AMR) in the 1800 block of Windsor Road, as well as to Windsor Grade School, less than one mile west of AMR.

While checking the area of the grade school, officers found a vehicle parked in the Harlem Middle School parking lot, 735 Windsor Road.

Joseph E. Pendergrass, 59, of Machesney Park, was found in the front passenger seat of the vehicle. He had allegedly been stabbed while at AMR.

After being stabbed, a relative drove Pendergrass westbound on Windsor Road and stopped in the Harlem Middle School parking lot, where she waited for emergency medical services and police. Pendergrass was pronounced deceased at Rockford Memorial Hospital.

Roland R. Breault, 52, of Rockford, an acquaintance of Pendergrass’, was arrested late on May 31. He was charged with aggravated battery and attempted first-degree murder.

Criminal charges are merely allegations and defendants are considered innocent, unless proven guilty in a Court of Law.
