On March 16, the Belvidere Fire Department responded to a call about a dog bite. They were the first responders on the scene with an ambulance arriving shortly thereafter. A dog had bitten eight-year-old Hayden Angelico and BFD firefighter/paramedics treated her on the scene before the ambulance took her to the hospital.
While at the hospital, Hayden was visited by her BFD responders who brought her gifts. They were worried about her and asked her to stop by the fire station so they could find out how well she is doing.
Hayden and other family members brought a big cookie basket and gifts for the firefighters. “We are very grateful for them, their caring visit, and their ongoing concern as to Hayden’s well-being,” said her mom, Robin Angelico.”
