COUNTRY Financial representatives Bruce Nelson and Tyler Nelson are pleased to support the City of Belvidere Fire Department and its purchase of new equipment. They recently presented a donation of $3,000 to City of Belvidere Fire Chief Shawn Schadle.

The funds will be used to purchase communications and computer equipment as well as uniforms and other resources for the department’s new full-time fire inspector.

“I want to thank Bruce, Tyler and COUNTRY Financial for this generous donation,” said Schadle. “We will be certain to put these resources to good use in our work supporting this city and the people and businesses who call Belvidere home. In addition to resources for the new fire inspector, the funds will be used to send him for State of Illinois certification training.”

“Belvidere firefighters play a critically important role in our community,” said COUNTRY Financial representative Bruce Nelson. “It’s essential that these brave men and women have all the resources they need to support our community in their lifesaving work.”

“We’re all able to sleep well at night thanks to the talents, commitment and bravery of these firefighters,” added COUNTRY Financial representative Tyler Nelson. “We’re especially pleased to help the new fire inspector begin his work with the resources needed to get off to a quick start.”

COUNTRY Financial has donated more than $5 million since 2020 to organizations and programs that support teachers, first responders, active-duty service members and veterans, supporting the company’s vision to “enrich lives in the communities we serve.” The Operation Helping Heroes program was created in 2015 to support non-profit events and programs that benefit active-duty service members, veterans, and their families. Later, the program expanded to include first responders and teachers.
