ROCKFORD – As part of the Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity ReStore’s grand re-opening, former NFL player Sean Considine will be present at the store on Saturday, April 2.
“We are thrilled to offer the public the chance to meet Sean Considine,” said Habitat for Humanity’s Executive Director, Keri Nelson. “Not only is Considine passionate about our cause but he is also a Rockford Area native.”

The ReStore, located in NorthTowne Mall at 986 W. Riverside Blvd. in Rockford, will be open for the public to shop from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Considine will be available to take photographs and sign autographs until noon. Habitat for Humanity ReStore volunteers will provide free food and refreshments during the event.
In addition to its special guest appearance on April 2, Habitat for Humanity will also be raffling off a brand-new, Toro 22” Personal Pace Lawnmower on Saturday. Any shopper at the ReStore can enter to win this item. Special features for the Toro lawnmower include: Electric starter, a self propel system that automatically adjusts to your walking speed, and a bag on demand that allows you to switch from mulching to bagging in seconds.

The Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a donation and shopping center for used and new construction materials, hardware, furniture, and appliances. Items donated to the ReStore are sold at discounted rates to fundraise for Habitat for Humanity while keeping usable building materials out of local landfills. All ReStore proceeds go to support the construction of safe, affordable, owner-occupied homes in the Rockford area. The ReStore is open Wednesday through Friday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Anyone interested in volunteering or getting more information can call 815-713-3184.
