Two important members of Harlem’s 2016 varsity football have signed letters of intent to continue playing the game at the college level.
Offensive lineman Matt Dixon plans to attend Quincy University in Quincy, Ill., while running back Brenton Shaw intends to go to Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, Minn.
Ceremonial signings were held Feb. 1 (Dixon) and Feb. 4 (Shaw) in The Commons area of Harlem High School.

As a junior he ran 233 times for 1,698 yards and during his senior year he carried 255 times for 1,675 yards. That adds up to 3,574 yards, an average of 6.9 yards per carry, and 35 touchdowns.
