Houi leads strong contingent of Hononegah college talent

Isaiah Houi is back for his sophomore season at Eastern Illinois University.
The summer break is about over for the Hononegah graduates playing sports in college. College athletes typically have to be back on campus in early to mid-August.
If you’d like to keep up with former Indians in college, there are lots of players to follow. Here’s a list with a little bit of research, and we’re sure it’s not complete. If you know of a Hononegah alumni competing this fall who is not listed, send an email to alumni@hononegah.org and we’ll follow up.
Football
Isaiah Houi is back for his sophomore season at Eastern Illinois University. Houi originally was going to redshirt last year, but he forced his way onto the field. He appeared in seven games and started the final three games as a defensive back. He ended up with 16 tackles and batted down five passes.
Cole Warren is back at UW-Osh Kosh after a monster freshman season. He played in five games, completing 106 of 157 passes for 1,173 yards and seven touchdowns.
Wisconsin Lutheran hasn’t posted its 2025 football roster yet. Last year, Gabe Kohl had 22 tackles as a freshman on the defensive line.
Trenton Harshbarger will be a freshman defensive lineman this fall at North Park University.
Carroll University hasn’t posted its 2025 roster. Last year, Drake Emanuel finished his third year as a defensive back. Drake has 81 tackles and two interceptions in 22 games. Brayden Partlow finished his second season with Carroll. Brayden is a long snapper and has appeared in 20 games with one tackle.
Ripon College hasn’t posted its 2025 roster. Dominic Kelly, Hononegah’s starting quarterback last year, signed to play there.
Volleyball
After two seasons at Gardner-Webb University, former NIC-10 MVP Molly Littlefield has changed addresses. She’ll be playing volleyball this fall at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.
It’s a huge get for Liberty. At Gardner-Webb, Littlefield was second team all-Big South in 2024 after setting a school record with 5.4 digs per set.
Keira Shannon is entering her final season as a defensive specialist for Marrietta College in Ohio. She was second team all-Ohio Athletic Conference last year, appearing in all 27 matches and leading the team with 547 digs.
Soccer
Former NIC-10 MVP Bree Culver is gearing up for her final college season at Lewis University in Romeoville.
Culver played her freshman year at UW-Milwaukee before transferring to Lewis. Culver has 12 goals and six assists in 37 games for the Flyers.
Juliana Sather is on the University of Illinois-Springfield roster as a freshman. She’s a defender and studying psychology.
