Illinois Click It or Ticket Memorial Day enforcement period results
From May 11, 2015 to May 25, 2015, the Illinois Department of Transportation supported law enforcement agencies statewide to remind motorists to buckle up both day and night during the Click It or Ticket seat belt enforcement mobilization. The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office joined other state and local law enforcement agencies across Illinois in this annual effort to save lives by encouraging more motorists to buckle up in the front and back seat.
The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office made the following arrests / issued the following citations as part of this traffic campaign:
2 – DUI Arrests
51 – Safety Belt Citations
1 – Driving While License Revoked
3 – No Valid Driver’s License
17 – No Insurance
28 – Speeding
12 – Distracted Driving (Electronic Communication Device)
