BELVIDERE – Despite the holiday festivities continuing through New Year’s weekend, bowlers still competed to become bowler of the week for their division at Concordia Lanes, located at 1205 Logan Ave. in Belvidere.

On Saturday, Jan. 2 the bowlers returned to the alleys to continue to improve their bowling techniques and natural abilities while competing to bring home the high score in their division.

Out of the four divisions (Cookies and Milk, Bantams, Preps, and Junior/Majors), each division calculates the highest scoring male and female bowlers.

This week, maybe due to the holidays, no one competed in the Cookies and Milk division on Jan. 2.
