LOVES PARK – At the Oct. 12 Loves Park City Council meeting, aldermen approved a resolution authorizing the appointment of Attorney Gino Galluzzo of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP to the position of Loves Park City Attorney. Galluzzo has been filling that position for some time but it is now official.

Attorney Phil A. Nicolosi of Phil Nicolosi Law Firm, P.C. was approved by resolution to the position of the City’s Special Prosecutor.

A resolution was passed authorizing the replacement of amber emergency lighting on water department trucks at a cost of $2,028 from a Naperville company.

An ordinance providing for an amendment to a special use permit for outside storage in the commercial retail zoning district for property located at 4301 McFarland Road was approved.

Alderman Clint Little gave the weekly police activity Report for the week of Oct. 4-10. There were 536 calls for service, 291 arrest, and 11 accidents reported for the week. On the weekly fire department report dated Oct. 11, two fire calls, two false fire alarm calls, one mutual aid call, three carbon monoxide or gas leak calls, one assist police call, and two smoke or odor investigation calls were reported.

Aldermen approved payment of $11,821.16 in water department bills, and $1,260,275.99 in general fund and all other bills, as presented Oct. 5.
