Executive Director Pam Osborne and Education Director Corrine Sosso accepted KNIB’s donation to support the organization’s education, beautification, and recycling initiatives.

During the April 3 Village Board of Trustees meeting, donations were presented to Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful (KNIB) and the Boys & Girls Club of Rockford: Carlson Unit.

Executive Director Pam Osborne and Education Director Corrine Sosso accepted KNIB’s donation to support the organization’s education, beautification, and recycling initiatives.

As part of the donation, Mayor Steve Johnson proclaimed Saturday, April 29 as Great American Cleanup Day in Machesney Park.

Osborne and Sosso thanked the Village for its donation and encouraged members of the community to participate in the 2023 Great American Cleanup on April 29. Volunteers can register online until April 23 at the link below. www.knib.org/great-american-cleanup.

President and CEO Chip Stoner and Carlson Unit Director Sheila Becker accepted the Boys and Girls Club’s donation to support the organization’s youth programming efforts.

Stoner and Becker thanked the Village for its continued support of the Club and highlighted a Youth of the Year award recipient from Harlem High School.
