Margaret (Peggy) Blair, 71
Margaret (Peggy) Blair, 71, passed away peacefully, in her Rockford home, with Paul, her husband of 55 years by her side, on Sunday, Jan. 22, after a lengthy illness.
Peggy was born in Paris, Ill. on April, 1 1945 and later moved to Belvidere where she married her high school sweetheart.
Peggy was a hard worker and avid volunteer. She worked as a Tupperware manager and drove school busses for Belvidere School District 100. She received the Governors Volunteer Service Award for establishing a neighborhood day camp and was very active in other various community programs such as: Rock River Valley Girl Scout Council, Belvidere Heritage Days, Belvidere Cruise Night Committee, and Belvidere/Boone County Food Pantry.
Peggy was an enthusiastic crafter who enjoyed quilting and staining/etching glass. She loved going on vacations and spending quality time with her family.
She is survived by her husband Paul Blair, Rockford; daughters: Tammy (Scott) Kos, of Plainfield, Ill.; Cathy Wargo, Belvidere Ill.; and Bonita “Bunny” (Adam) Berry, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; grandkids: Jeremy (Tiffany) Wargo, of Poplar Grove Ill.; Jessica Kos, of Sugar Grove, Ill.; Cassandra (Billy) Morales, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; Joshua Bentley, of Midwest City, Okla.; Eric Kos, of Chicago, Ill.; Kirsten Berry, of Midwest City, Okla.; and great-grandkids: Hunter, Jayde, Connor, and Parker Wargo, and Abagail, Jonathan, and Kayleigh Morales.
Peggy is predeceased by her loving son-in-law, Daniel Wargo, who passed away in February 2010.
