Haunted Hayride will be from 7 p.m. – 10:30 p.m., now through October 24 at Peterson Park, McCullom Lake Road, McHenry. Every October Peterson Park is visited by Henry Deadwood. Come, visit Henry and his friends and embark on a haunted hayride through Deadwood Forest.
Breakfast Fundraiser will be at 7:45 a.m. at the Crystal Lake Country Club. Join Senior Care Volunteer Network for our Gift of a Lift breakfast fundraiser on Thursday, October 22 at the Crystal Lake Country Club, 721 Country Club Road, Crystal Lake. Rotary Oktoberfest will be from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m., at McHenry VFW, 3002 W. Rte. 120, McHenry. Ticket price includes commemorative mug for unlimited sampling of craft beers offered by local breweries during the event along with one bratwurst and fresh chips served by the VFW. Many valuable raffle prizes, other food and beverages will be available. Funds raised will help us put gifts under the tree for over 2,000 children in need in our community this holiday season through our Sunrise Secret Santa program. Trunk or Treat will be at Crystal Lake Main Beach, 300 Lakeshore Drive, Crystal Lake from 10 a.m. – noon. Come dressed in your Halloween costume and see all kinds of big trucks and vehicles. Climb aboard and see how they work. Bring a treat bag as there will be lots of goodies by each truck. Be sure to bring a camera.
