Vintage Shop Hop will be March 4-5 at 9 a.m. at the McHenry County Historical Society, 6422 Main St. The 3rd annual Vintage Shop Hop is a unique 200-plus stop shopping experience through northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. Each year, locally owned vintage businesses roll out the red carpet with specialty items and promotions.
Saturday, March 5
Baskets & Bunnies will be at the Historic Village Hall, 2 S. Main St., Algonquin from 9 to 10 a.m. This new event will include craft projects, games, and a few light snacks to enjoy during your visit. Huntley Expo will be at the Huntley Park District Rec Center, 12015 Mill St., at 9 a.m. This expo is open to the public and features businesses, services, special events for all ages and includes the Expo Café featuring area restaurants. Admission is free and easy access parking is available.
Festival of the Sugar Maples will be March 5-6 and March 12-13 at 10 a.m. in Coral Woods Conservation Area, 7400 Somerset Dr. in Marengo. Take this unique opportunity to learn the fascinating history of maple sugaring and the evolution of the sap collection process.

My Kind of Booze Town will be at 7 p.m. at the McHenry County Historical Society, 6422 Main St., in Union. This event spans a myriad of topics – from beer to boxcars, waterways to where you can find some of the best fish fries across the Wisconsin border. Series tickets are $35, $30 for Society members.
