Microchip Clinic a big success for Boone County Animal Control
By Anne Eickstadt
Boone County Animal Services offered a Microchip Clinic on Sept. 1. The clinic was held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Animal Services facility at 4546 Squaw Prairie Road. They also offered to clip your pets’ nails, distribute pet food (for as long as supplies last), and gave tours of the facility
“We placed microchips on 19 dogs and seven cats,” said Operations Supervisor Roger Tresemer. “We also did 21 nail trims on pets. 12 volunteers came out to Animal Control to assist us with traffic, both vehicular and on foot, greet and register our guests, help with the animals, and hand out pet food and treats. It was a very successful event.”
