Morgan McNulty signs Letter of Intent with Lewis University

Belvidere North High School hosted another Letter of Intent signing ceremony on Friday, April 12. Morgan McNulty signed to play golf for the Lewis University Flyers in Romeoville.
Morgan was a three-sport athlete in high school. She played golf for four years, softball for three years and also played two years of basketball. She was named an academic NIC scholar athlete eight times. She was on every national honor society, a member of the student council, in the Key Club, a member of Belvidere North’s Best Buddies program, and numerous other groups.
“It’s super rare to have a three sport athlete. It is unbelievable how tough this kid is. She never backed down even though the person she was guarding was substantially taller,” said basketball Coach Leonard. “It is important that each person on a team is very competitive. Morgan got hit in the head often but she never stopped or changed how she played. She did everything she was asked and played the most minutes of everyone on the team.”
“It’s an awesome experience to move on to the next level,” said softball Coach Hilden. “Morgan is a great teammate, helping everyone. Last year she played second base. This year she was asked to catch this year and she has done a great job. You have been a great addition to our program.
“She’s a great human being, a reflection of her mom and dad. She is the type of student we hate to see graduate.”
Morgan and her father would practice at Timber Pointe Golf Course. “There is not a person out there who has worked harder,” a representative of the course said.
