Friends of the Taproot Nature Study joined the educational journey of hitting the trails at Nygren Wetland.

Nature lovers came out for an evening of fun on Friday evening at the Nygren Wetland Preserve on Feb.10. Lighted luminaria sponsored by North Pointe Health and Wellness accompanied guided hikes along the Prairie Trail.
Volunteers from the Natural Land Institute gave an educational talk about the preserve and the organization behind operations of the Nygren Wetland Preserve. With temperatures in the upper forties it was the perfect night to bring family and friends out to fully appreciate nature in its purest form.
“We had about 150 people come out to the festivities,” said Director of Marketing and Membership Kim Johnson.
