Shoppers crowded the streets and walkways of Roscoe, and spilled into downtown restaurants and boutiques on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 7-8. The much anticipated Nellie’s Barn Sale was back for another year. “The show is a juried event with vendors chosen based on their curated goods,” show organizer Ann Campos said. More than 60 venders selling an eclectic array of vintage furniture, clothing, accessories and jewelry displayed their wares in a two acre field and lot adjacent to Meyers Canine Colony, 10985 Main St. in Roscoe. According to Campos, Nellie’s Barn Sale was named one of the “Best Fall Flea & Tent Events” in the current issue of Romantic Country magazine.

“Junk Stop,” a drink café serving wine, beer and hot toddies was a popular addition this year. More live music from local musicians and a wide variety of food were also added.

Last year over 3,600 visitors attended the two day “Vintage Extravaganza.” Campos said attendance this year was the highest in the 12 year history of the event.

A portion of the proceeds was donated to Roscoe Boy Scout Troop 620.
