Pecatonica to host Small Town, Bright Christmas Walk
The community is invited to come celebrate the start of the Christmas season on Saturday, Dec. 4 in Downtown Pecatonica. The schedule of events is as follows:
9 a.m. – St. Mary’s Bake Sale inside Green Bean Academy, 503 Main St.
9 a.m. to noon – Cookies By the Pound, First Congregational Church, 633 Reed St.
9 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Ornament decorating, River’s Edge Bible Church, 517 Main St.
9 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Stamping of passport at participating businesses
9 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. – Vendors in the Legion, 403 Main St.
10 a.m. – Story time and craft with Pecatonica Preschool at the Pecatonica Public Library, 400 West 22th St.
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Photo booth by German-American State Bank, 410 Main St.
1 a.m. to Noon – High School Band performance, outside, 430 Main St.
11 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Family Fun Fair, Pecatonica united Methodist Church, 528 Washington St.
11 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Hot Chocolate Crawl, Must purchase a $15 mug from a participating business.
Noon to 3 p.m. Visit Santa, 430 Main St.
Noon to 4 p.m. – Historical Society Displays, Village Hall, 405 Main St.
2 to 3 p.m. – Pecatonica Cheerleaders perform, between Third and Fourth streets.
3 to 3:30 p.m. – Pecatonica football recognition, Main Stage in the public parking lot, corner of Fourth and Main.
3:30 to 4:30 p.m. – Wheel Barrel Contest (anyone can participate), Subway, 528 Main.
4 to 6 p.m. – S’mores, corner of Fourth and Main
4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Pie Auction, 430 Main.
6 p.m. Tree lighting and drawing for cash giveaways and raffle baskets, public parking lot, corner of Fourth and Main.
7:15 p.m. – Line up for the lighted parade at Sumner Park. Rout goes south on Main, west on Seventh, north on John St., ends back at Sumner park.
