Reappointment of Conrad Lantz to Police Pension Board

At the May 15 Loves Park City Council meeting Conrad Lantz was reappointed to the Police Pension Board for a term that expires on June 30, 2019.
Alderman Nancy Warden was appointed to serve in an advisory capacity on the city’s Liquor Commission effective May 15. She fills a vacancy created when former Alderman Greg Jury became mayor.
A request from Pinewood Restaurant Group/Molly’s Deli in the 6200 block of N. Second St. was approved to hold a cruise night of classic and antique cars at various times in the parking lot once a month from May 23 through Sept. 26.
A request from Daniel Lane to have a seasonal farm market at N. Second and Theodore Streets (Meadowmart) from June 10 through Oct. 31 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, subject to certain specifications, received approval.
Aldermen A. Marie Holmes, Clint Little, and John Pruitt voted against the motion to approve. Specifications include: construction on the market to begin no earlier than June 7; professional signage to be approved in advance by the city clerk; the site to be cleaned daily and all trash removed; and the creation of fire lanes surrounding the farm market to be approved by the fire chief.
