Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity ReStore sees highest sales to date in 2015
ROCKFORD – The Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity ReStore rounded out 2015 by surpassing its highest sales to date.
The ReStore, located in NorthTowne mall, attributes these record sales to a year-end promotion in which every individual who donated during November or December was entered into a raffle for a Toro Snow Blower.
The promotion generated over 300 donations.
Steve Westlund, manager of the ReStore, says: “The snow blower giveaway promotion greatly increased the frequency and quality of our donations.
“The ReStore depends upon high quality donations to increase our sales. Donations can be picked up by our truck, covering the greater Rockford area, or dropped off at our North Towne location.
“November and December donations propelled our sales to achieve our most successful year ever.”
The Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a donation and shopping center for used and new construction materials, hardware, furniture, and appliances.
Items donated to the ReStore are sold at discounted rates to fundraise for Habitat for Humanity while keeping usable building materials out of local landfills.
All ReStore proceeds go to support the construction of safe, affordable, owner-occupied homes in the Rockford area. The ReStore is open Wednesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Anyone interested in volunteering or getting more information can call (815) 713-3184.
