Rockford man sentenced on felony gun charges in Boone County
BOONE COUNTY – Boone County State’s Attorney Michelle Courier on Thursday, May 12 that Darryl Thomas, 22, of Rockford, was sentenced to serve six years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on the charge of Unlawful Possession of Weapons by a Felon.
On about Jan. 11, Thomas possessed a handgun and ammunition after having previously been convicted in Winnebago County for Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery in 2011. The handgun and ammunition was discovered during a traffic stop.
