Rockton River Market kicks off summer season of fun, food, music

ROCKTON – Families carrying picnic baskets, folding chairs and blankets found a spot in Settlers Park for a few hours of music, shopping, stocking up on fresh produce and visiting with friends during the first River Market of the summer.
Music lover young and old danced and sang along to the mellow sounds of Trippin Tarzin. Tents loaded with fresh vegetables, sweet treats, and crafts lined the sidewalk and pathways.
Several area restaurants offered tasty choices for every palette. Ice cream and liquid refreshments were available throughout the evening.
Rockton River Market gets underway every Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. through Aug. 31. Market activities take a break during Old Settlers Day in Settlers Park, June 16-19.
