South Beloit High School class video wins award from First National Bank
SOUTH BELOIT – First National Bank and Trust Company – (FNBT) recently awarded a South Beloit High School class as the first-round local winner in the “Lights, Camera, Save!” national video contest presented by the American Banking Association (ABA).
With rising college student loans, it is more important than ever for teens to be financially fit. How much do today’s teens know about using money wisely? FNBT’s participation in the Lights, Camera, Save! national video contests hopes to bring more knowledge of saving to the Stateline area.
“Lights, Camera, Save! empowers young adults to use video in communicating the value of saving and inspire others to become smart money managers,” explained Theresa Wendhausen, branding and communications officer for FNBT.
FNBT selected Richard Borre’s class video from South Beloit High School as the local winner, and their video has been sent on to compete at the national level. Mr. Borre’s Senior Math Concepts class submitted the video, as a class assignment as they learn about mortgages, loans, and other real world, math related topics.
Bonnie Gundry, branch manager of FNBT’s Rockton office presented Mr. Borre and his class with a $100 gift card. The national winners will be announced in late February.
