Family and friends were on hand to support 13-year-old Hunter Gosh who was accidentally hit by a car and suffered multiple injuries. A fundraiser was held on Nov. 18 at Maximum Performance in Roscoe to show support to Hunter and his family.

Hunter is currently in stable but critical condition at UW Madison. Hunter’s Mother Jamie has been staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Madison. The Ronald McDonald House has provided greatly needed supportive services and meals. Hunter’s mother Jamie Fredrickson is a single mom of four, ages ranging from one-years-old to 18.

Gosh has endured surgeries for broken bones, repairs, and a brain injury. He has reacted with a lot of positive responses.  Hunter is facing a long recovery period and is fighting a hard fight. Hunter is a part of an extended family at Maximum Performance in Roscoe. Hundreds of close friends, members of Hunter’s Maximum Performance family and the entire Community all pulling for Hunter came together in a strong show of support.

On Friday evening, Nov. 18, a fundraiser was held at Maximum Performance. Two separate workouts included one 30-minute boot camp workout. Rows of silent auction items and over 80 raffles were only part of those efforts. Financial donations were collected.  Blue and green colors blended on bracelets reading, #Hunter Strong. T-Shirts and sweatshirts designed by ‘Embroid This’ have the same words on them. Round stickers and bumper stickers expand the message of “Hunter Strong Keep Fighting.” Creating a beautiful scene a limited supply of lanterns were lit up and sent upward to light up the sky for Hunter. Family and friends had an opportunity to make cards complete with special messages to be sent to Hunter.

As a result of the accident, medical bills are adding up and Hunter’s Mother has been unable to work. The fundraiser brought in a total of $2,600 to help Hunter and his family. Please consider making a donation at #HunterStrong to be used towards medical bills on a ‘Go Fund Me’ page.
