Village Board expecting update on street funding project

For a while loans have been considered, grants have been investigated and many paths traveled in search of funding for the aging and sometimes failing underground water circulation systems in the village of Pecatonica.
There are mains that are undersized and there are pipes that are collapsing, disallowing a smooth transfer of displaced water. Millions of dollars are needed to do work that has to be done. As another Fiscal Year prepares to enter its closing stretch, some issues still haven’t been completely solved. Finding the funding for the required infrastructure improvement is one of them.
Jason Stoll with the Village Engineering firm of Fehr Grahm and Associates met with members of the Pecatonica Village Board during the January Committee of the Whole Meeting. He said anything that he or his company could do to try to help find a solution would be gladly provided.
