Village of Poplar Grove sponsors public works donation drive

The Village of Poplar Grove joined hundreds of Public Works Departments from across the United States to collect food and household goods to support our local community food pantry needs. This happened during National Public Works Week, from May 20 to 26 to support the Belvidere and Boone County Food Pantry.
Fill-A-Public Works Truck Food Drive took place at Village Hall, 200 N. Hill Street, where there was a Public Works Truck for the public to fill with personal care items such as soap, shampoo, deodorant, hairspray, shaving cream, toothpaste, and toothbrushes or non-perishable foods.
