First Presbyterian Church of Belvidere, located at 221 North Main Street is hosting a rummage sale from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. They will accept clothes, books and tapes, vases, framed pictures and frames, toys, collectibles and many more items. For more information, call (815) 544-6402.

The Boone County Historical Museum and Locust Street Press are hosting the Spring ArtScene courtesy of the Rockford Area Arts Council featuring local artist at 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Free museum admission and refreshments will also be offered to ArtScene visitors!

Lend Me A Tenor will perform at District 100 Performing Arts Center. Tickets are: $5.

Saturday, April 16
The Animal Friends Society, the Coalition, and the Stateline Spay/Neuter will host a community dance at the Community Center. Dance your Tail Off will be held at the Belvidere Community Building, at 111 W. First St. Tickets at the door are $10 for adults and $8 for students ages (14 and up). Proceeds Benefit Animal Friends Society of Boone County’s Spay and Neuter Program. The night includes DJ, dancing, dance demo, raffles, free refreshments, and MC Christie Nicks.

The Belvidere High School boys’ varsity baseball team will compete against Stillman Valley at 11 a.m. at Stillman Valley High School.
