The Belvidere Park District Administration Building will collect Santa Letters from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please drop off your letter to Santa. No postage necessary.
The Main Street Players of Boone County present “Babes in Toyland.” They will perform for the community at 7 p.m. at the Community Building Complex located at 111 West First St. in Belvidere. Tickets are $14 for adults, $12 for seniors, and $5 for students with ID. Saturday, Nov. 21
The Belvidere Park District will host a trip up to the Milwaukee International Folk Festival. The trip will cost $46 to $69 depending on how many individuals are going. The group needs a minimum of five participants and a maximum of 25. The trip will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Registration deadline is Nov. 13. This trip is for individuals 18 and up. You’ve seen them for adults, now the Belvidere Park District is running them for kids. The Belvidere Park District is hosting a canvas painting event for children to enjoy with a snack of cookies to enjoy while they paint. Let your child experience the joy of creating their own painting with the guidance of a professional. Your child is sure to bring home a masterpiece. The painting will be based off of Betsy Mclellan’s painting of a cow. The minimum participants needed for this event is five with a maximum of 25. The class will be held Rivers Edge Recreation Center’s Lower Multipurpose Rooms from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The registration deadline for this event is Saturday, Nov. 14 and will cost $30 to $45 based on how many people participate. This event is for children ages nine to 13.
The Belvidere High School junior varsity and varsity boys bowling teams will compete in the Guilford Survivor Tournament at Don Carter Lanes in Rockford at 1:45 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 22
The Belvidere Park District is hosting a Fall Classic Film Series. It is a free night of cinematic fun. Chairs are provided, but people can bring a blanket or lawn chairs for comfort. Popcorn and refreshments will be available for purchase. The classic movie this week is the Miracle on 34th Street which will play at the Rivers Edge Recreation Center Gym at 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
