I.O.U. will host the annual Halloween Parade at 7 p.m. or rain or shine. The parade will begin at North State Street and Boone Street and will head south to end at the Community Building Complex. Floats will assemble at 6 p.m. at North State Street between Perry and Boone Street, facing south for judging. For more information, please contact Jerry Larson at (815) 547-5857.

The Belvidere High School Girls Swimming and Diving junior varsity teams will compete in the freshman/sophomore NIC-10 Conference at the Freeport High School pool.
Belvidere’s Trick-or-Treat will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Capron’s Trick or Treat will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Cherry Valley’s Trick or Treat will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Loves Park Trick or Treat will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Poplar Grove’s Trick or Treat will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The Village of Timberlane will host their Halloween Trick-or treat hours from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The Belvidere Park District is hosting a Fall Classic Film Series. It is a free night of cinematic fun. Chairs are provided, but people can bring a blanket or lawn chairs for comfort. Popcorn and refreshments will be available for purchase. The classic movie this week is the Wizard of Oz which will play at the Rivers Edge Recreation Center Gym at 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The Monroe Township Firefighters Association will hold their All-You-Can-Eat Buffet Breakfast. It will be at the fire station, located at 104 West St. in Monroe Center, Ill. Serving is from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Prices are $8 for adults, $4 for children ages six to 12, and children five and under eat free. This will be our last breakfast of the season. Thank you once again for another great breakfast season. See you again in October.
