Young at Heart Pageant set for May 14
LOVES PARK – The Young at Heart Pageant will be held on Saturday, May 14 at 4 p.m. at Loves Park City Hall, and organizers are now seeking contestants.

Deadline to register is April 7. The first practice and meeting will take place on April 9 at Christian Life Retirement Center, 2750 Mulford Road. Contestants will be notified as to time.
This year we are having two new divisions: Mini Princess (5-6 years old) and College and Career (19–24 years old).
Other divisions: Petite (Ages 7-8), Juniors (Ages 9 -11), Seniors (Ages 12-14), Queen (Ages 15-18).
Applications can be picked up at Parks Chamber of Commerce (100 Y Blvd), Harlem High School Machesney Elementary, Harlem Middle School, Harlem 9th Grade campus, and Parker Early Education Center.
All contestants receive free modeling classes, a photograph and T-shirt. Winners and 1st
runner-ups receive scholarship money.

Four girls were chosen during the 44th Young at Heart Pageant to represent the 2015 festival last year. Alexis Perkins was chosen as the Queen; Avery Cellitti as the Senior Princess; Aliah Peterson as the Junior Princess; and Lillian-Rose Hammer as the Petite Princess.
