Ogle County Extension educators will guide young cooking enthusiasts at the Illinois Junior Chef program.

Dear Future Illinois Junior Chefs,
Magic Fruit Salad, Tic Tac Taco mix, and Stuffed Pitas are just a few tasty recipes prepared during University of Illinois Extension’s Illinois Junior Chefs program at Trinity Lutheran Church Kitchen, Mount Morris.
Illinois Junior Chefs is a cooking school developed and taught by Illinois Nutrition Education Programs. Lessons focus on learning about healthy foods that taste great and cooking skills for 8 to 13 year old children in the Oregon School District #220.
“It is important for people of all ages to learn culinary skills, especially children. Illinois Jr. Chef gives children a chance to explore, discover, and create culinary dishes. Plus, a confidence to share their new knowledge of creating healthy dishes that taste great, with their family!” – Natalie Coy, Community Worker, Illinois Nutrition Education Programs
